A deep crimson hue with notes of spiced black plum and tobacco leaf on the nose, followed by ripe black cherries and sweet baking spice round the dense palate. Chocolate-like tannins and spicy peaks add structure and intrigue to its formidable presence. Smoked pork ribs, wild boar sugo or mole would make a brilliant food pairing. Still youthful and coming into its own, it will continue to evolve for 10-15 more years.
